I didn't realize some of them were Canadian. One of the greatest pleasures when my husband goes to Canada each September is knowing he's going to bring me back a Canadian book. I usually have never heard of the author. .-= Amber´s last blog ..Adaptability =-.

This year I have fallen in love with the book Dooley Takes the Fall and its writer, Canadian children’s/teen mystery writer Norah McClintock. I can’t wait for the second Dooley book to be released.

Great list, although it could go on and on.... I also like Atwood's "Alias Grace" best; Pierre Berton's "The Arctic Grail" is a great read for exploration aficionados; and Sinclair Ross...ha ha! I so agree. Other favourites of mine: Alice Munro, David Helwig, Diane Schoemperlen, Ethel Wilson, Frances Itani, Emily Carr, and of course LM Montgomery! I could go on for pages...
