Great book! A little obscure, but great nonetheless. There is also another book by Jerome called Three Men on the Bummel, which deals with the same characters on a bicycle tour of Germany. I haven't read that one yet, but it looks funny as well. Thanks for your review!

I loved this book as well; I read it alongside To Say Nothing of The Dog and really enjoyed them both. Extremely entertaining! I found that it reminded me somewhat of George & Weedon Grossmith's Diary of a Nobody. Have you read that one?

I only vaguely remember hearing of Three Men in a Boat, but I never knew what it was about or that it was so funny! It sounds like a great read.

But it's two centuries that have ended since it was published -- perhaps I should have said "turned" for more clarity. Oh well. If anyone wants clarity, let them read the comments.

Erm, if published in 1889, then only a century and 20 years since published, not two centuries. Just noticing...
I've heard this is great from a few sources. Have been meaning to read.

Oh, it's fantastic. And a very quick read, as well -- you could get through it in a pleasant afternoon.
